I began writing about real estate in the late 90s, just in time to cover one of the most exciting and expansive eras in the history of building in New York City, a decade of bold design and visionary, grand-scale development, which, after hitting a speed bump in 2008, continues with breathless vitality today.

I invite you to read the profiles of architects, developers, buildings and neighborhoods in my portfolio as chapters in the story of the emergence of New York City as a showcase for world-class architecture and residential and commercial development — a chronicle of the rapid and pervasive transformation in the way we live.

In recent years, I’ve been writing not just about, but for, real estate professionals, on how to operate and market their properties, in New York and cities around the country, including Miami, which, for decades the sunny annex of New York City, is growing explosively as well.

All that said, don’t be surprised to see some articles in the portfolio that inhabit a very different world. There is life beyond real estate, even in New York City, and lately I’ve been writing for other fields that interest me, especially psychology, fitness and self-improvement.
